The last day is always a bittersweet experience. Do you laugh or cry? Some tears were shed when we said good bye but we decided to listen to the beloved words of Dr Seuss.
Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened. -Dr Seuss
So we smiled, laughed, cracked some jokes, and made the most of our last wonderful day together.
The girls decorated the banquet room under the supervision of the talented Mrs. Latham. It was beautiful. They can really transform a room!
Then came clean up and getting ready. Clean up somehow took a 1/4 of the time it usually does. So impressed with these young ladies!
Can I just say that watching 11 girls getting ready for a banquet in the same space is extremely funny. At one point Sunshine walked into the room and found one girl having her hair curled and finger nails painted at the same time, while another girl had a full length mirror wrapped between her legs as she tried to see to put on her eye make up.
In the end I think all the pampering worked out really well because our girls turned into beautiful women before our eyes.
I think that is the real testament of our two weeks. The girls transformed from beautiful teenagers to radiant women that loved God, women that have the knowledge and the determination to become a Proverbs 31 Woman. I can’t wait to see where God takes them and what wonders He has in store for their lives. I’m so honored that I got to be apart of their lives.
