“Well Done, Good And Faithful Servant”

In Everyday Musings

For the last several weeks, I have been working on a hospital ship docked off the coast of the Republic of Congo, Africa.  So many lessons learned and adventures had!!  🙂  One of the many things that has been on my heart and mind is my desire to hear those words said to me by God; “Well done, good and faithful servant”.  I jotted down some {rather random and disjointed} thoughts the other day in my journal and thought I would share them with ya.

Being a faithful servant is a lifestyle, not a one time event.  And it’s hard because it requires doing what’s right when you don’t feel like it…when you’re tired or you’re hurting…when you could get away with so much less…when it’s uncomfortable and you have to stand alone…when no one is watching…when it’s so easy to say, “just this once”…

Excellence is not achieved in one day of grand heroism but rather through consistently being faithful in each small, insignificant moment, and each moment turns into days and the days make the life.

So go, be faithful.  In the small moments when you think it won’t matter that much – it does matter.  That is when it matters most.  Be faithful and do what’s right.  Join me in the hope that it will be more than enough reward to hear Him say those words, “Well done”.
