At each meal we sing a song  before prayer, and the more we do it the more the songs seem to bring my focus back to where it should be. During Mandy’s talk earlier in the week she mentioned that when we sing to imagine that the place you are standing is lifted up into the throne room of heaven and that we are singing before God’s smiling face. That vivid picture has permeated each of the songs this week, and made each song a time of beautiful worship, I hope that it fills the girls minds as much as mine.

In the Electives we had to very hard choices for the girls, they could do first aid scenarios or bread making. I mean how do you chose between that?

Turns out  they were able to decide because we had two great classes. Scenarios was a hoot as the leaders donned  fake blood and hysterics and played out different scenarios the girls could get called into. The baking class on the other hand made some really really rrreaalllly good bread.

We were challenged by Alex Adams talk about doing hard things.

Then in a more somber evening activity the four staff girls shared their hearts on living our lives for Christ. We talked about Depending on the Almighty our Strength and Hope, which spells out DASH. The dash is the stroke on a tombstone that tells the story of our lives, and our challenge to the girls was to live their Dash well.
